The National Gallery of Modern Art, Bengaluru was inaugurated on February 2009 and is the third and the youngest of three NGMAs in India. Since the two years of its inception, it has hosted various exhibitions, outreach programmes, talks, cultural events and site specific works. In this short period the NGMA Bengaluru has become one of the most active hubs for cultural activities in the city. The success of NGMA is to a great extent due to its efforts in forging relationships and collaborations with most of the major cultural organisations in the city so as to provide a platform for not only the visual arts but also for other forms of creative expressions.
